Lorraine Davis Obituary

Lorraine Davis passed away as if in sleep the night of July 6th, 2016, at Frederick Memorial Hospital, Frederick, Maryland. Born Loraine Jean Bush in Arlington, Virginia, in 1935 , she lived most of her life in Camp Springs, Wheaton and Mount Airy, Maryland. She worked as an at-home mother, elementary teacher, and administrator, culminating with a long stint as a medical textbook editor with the Borden Institute at Walter Reed Medical Center. She was a graduate of Hood College, Frederick, Maryland. Grieving her passing are her husband of 62 years, Bob; her sons Fred, Jim (Debbi) and Bob (Kara); grandchildren Aaron, Josh and Elizabeth; sisters Margaret Bush, Signe Ann Thrift (John) and Betty Waldron; nephew Andy Waldron and numerous cousins. She loved the home Bob built with her, her family, bird watching on Maryland’s eastern shore, opera, Broadway plays, sweet coffee and the perfect wrap-job on Christmas presents. A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Online condolences at www.burrier-queen.com.
