Mildred Stover

Mildred “Estelle” Stover, 88 passed away peacefully at high-noon with her sons & niece Peggi Savage by her side at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta on Wednesday, June 29, 2016. Estelle was born on January 20, 1928 in Seataucket, Long Island, New York to parents Ralph Eugley and Mildred Estelle (Davis) Eugley. Estelle married Arthur Stover in 1946 and they had 58 wonderful years together. Estelle worked at the Holmes Fish Factory in Rockland, the Button Factory in Waldoboro, Lights Poultry Farm in Waldoboro and was also a waitress in Waldoboro. She especially loved making braided rugs and attending to her many flower gardens. Estelle also found great enjoyment in Nascar, Baseball and football games and she also enjoyed watching old T.V. shows. Estelle was predeceased by her parents, her husband, Arthur D. Stover, brothers Milton Eugley of Waldoboro, Fred Eugley of South Thomaston along with sisters, Pauline Foster of Waldoboro, Phyllis Foster of Newcastle, Arlene McFarland of New Harbor, Christine Kennedy of Waldoboro and an infant sister Gloria of Long Island, N.Y. She is survived by sons, Donald Stover and wife Beryl of Waldoboro, ME; Les Stover and wife Cindy of Scarborough, ME. sisters, Georgene Westaway of North Bilerica, MA and Patricia Benner of New Harbor, ME; She is also survived by her grandchildren- Amy Harkins of Portland, ME, Angie Stover of South Portland, ME. Jonathan Stover of Midland, GA, and Zachary Stover of Monroe, CT. She also leaves her Great- Grandchildren Lincoln and Nolan Stover of Midland, GA, and Emily and Jeremy Stover of Monroe, CT. as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. The family would like to express special thanks to neighbor and special friend Marcia Drenzyk and her sister Noreen Marchand as well as the caring staff at Cove’s Edge in Damariscotta, Me. for their acts of kindness to Estelle. Graveside services for Estelle will be held on Monday, at Noon on July 11th at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta, Maine. Hall’s of Waldoboro has care of the arrangements.
