Jeannine Harrington

Jeannine Harrington passed away peacefully on October 23, 2016 at her home in Bayville. She was a graduate of Boothbay Harbor High School, Class of 1946. On January 11th, 1952, she married Edwin Harrington, the love of her life, and together they raised two children; Ed Harrington Jr. and Daughter Trudy Mayhew, both of Boothbay Harbor. Jeannine worked as a Postal Mistress at the Bayville Post Office, Jessie’s Diner, and the 5 & 10 in Boothbay Harbor during the Korean War. She also cooked at the school cafeteria. She was an active member of the Boothbay Harbor Methodist Church, she loved to quilt, enjoyed crocheting, and crafts. When she was able, she always attended her grandchildren’s “events”. Jeannine is predeceased by her parents, husband Edwin, and Grandson Gregory Mayhew. Her beloved Grandchildren Brandon Harrington of Edgecomb, Tabetha Harrington of Boothbay Harbor, Brett Mayhew of Nashua, N.H., Brian Mayhew of Jefferson, Sam Mayhew of Boothbay Harbor, and Brittany Kapuscinski of Bremen. Great grandchildren: Deakon Harrington of Edgecomb, Jackson Mayhew of Nashua N.H., Aidan and Anna Kapuscinski of Bremen , and Nora Mayhew of Jefferson. The dedicated “Abbott Girls” whom she also truly loved. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, October 29, 2016 at Oceanview Cemetery, all are welcome to attend. Arrangements are entrusted to Hall Funeral Home and Cremation Service, 975 Wiscasset Rd., Boothbay. In lieu of flowers, donations to a charity of your choice.
