Millinocket - Winnifred Geraldine McGreevy (Jarvis), 91 passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Tuesday June 21, 2016. She was born March 22, 1925, the daughter of the late Lena and Donald Jarvis. Winnie will be remembered for all her acts of love and kindness to her family and to all that knew her. Along with her husband she owned and operated Katahdin Taxi for 28 years while raising her family. She had a love for animals and enjoyed knitting. Winnie is survived by 3 daughters, Sandra Yarberry, Sharon Brooker and husband Wayne, Deborah Jandreau and husband Garry, 2 sons, William McGreevy and wife Beverly and Edward (Jimmy) McGreevy. She is also survived by sisters Hazel, Charlotte, Betty and brothers Kenneth and Ronald as well as 16 grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her parents Lena and Donald Jarvis, husband Edward McGreevy, special sister in law Evelyn, son Robert McGreevy and siblings Barbara, Donald, Ensley (“Buckeye”), and Buddy. There will be no services at this time as per Winnie’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice division of the Community Health and Counseling, 313 Enfield Road, Lincoln, ME 04457, or to the Katahdin Area Support Group, P.O. Box 374, Millinocket, ME 04462.
