Julie Leet

Millinocket – Julie A. (McIntyre) Leet, 58, went to be with the Lord on Friday, May 6, 2016 at St. Joseph Hospital in Bangor, surrounded by her loved ones. She was born July 17, 1957 in Skowhegan, the daughter of John and Ernestine (Michaud) McIntyre. Julie grew up in Skowhegan, where she was raised by her mother and stepfather, Bernard McLaughlin. She married Terry M. Leet September 10, 1983 and they moved to Millinocket, where they raised their family. Julie enjoyed cooking, and worked as a cook in several restaurants. She liked shopping, especially at the Dollar Store. Julie especially lived for spending time with her children and grandchildren, and doing anything with them, from traveling to visit them, spending time at the lake, boating, and going to events involving her grandchildren. The death of her husband, Terry, in 2008, just 3 days short of their 25th anniversary, affected her deeply, and she is finally reunited with him. Julie is survived by her two children, Terry M. Leet Jr., and his wife Holly of Belton, Texas, Brittany Leet and her significant other Brian Kimball of East Millinocket; a stepdaughter, Jessica Lepage of Skowhegan; special niece and nephew Michael and Destiny McIntyre, whom Julie thought of as her own; eleven grandchildren, Alex, Hannah, Maryssa, Anneliese, Shyanne, Trafton, Rayson, Jaidyn, June, Maelee, and Wesson; a special son in law, James Morrison; special nieces, Sonya Griffeth and her husband Al, and Tammy Doucette and her husband Jeff; and a special nephew, Gary French. In addition to her parents and her husband, Julie was predeceased by her siblings, Susan French and Michael McIntyre. Friends are invited to visit with the family 12:30 – 2 P.M. Friday, May 13 at the Lamson Funeral Home, 11 Tamarack Street, Millinocket, with funeral services beginning at 2 P.M., officiated by Rev. Herschel Hafford. Gifts in memory of Julie may be sent to help the family defray funeral expenses at www.gofund.me/237acx8.
