Farmington – Golda D. Bickford, 87, a resident of Pinnacle Nursing Home (Victorian Villa) in Canton, formerly of Jay, passed away Thursday, July 28th at Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington, with her granddaughter Allicca Torres-Quirion by her side. She was born May 26, 1929 in Farmington, the daughter of Everett Williams and Arlene (Brown) Williams. Golda attended school in Farmington. On June 23, 1962 in Farmington, she married Franklin Bickford, he passed away December 26, 2000. Golda worked as a saleswoman for Sara Coventry and Park Lane selling jewelry. She owned and operated Ma Barker’s Restaurant and Golda’s Golden Fry. At one point in her life Golda had a bakery route through Peru, Canton, Livermore Falls, Wilton and Rumford as well as restaurants in those areas, she was famous for her fried clams and eclairs. She is survived by her daughter, Angelyn Lane of Guin, Alabama, son, Robert Pease of Farmington, son-in-law, Bryan McDevitt of Florida, 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great- grandchildren, her special friend, Jocelyn Mosher-Collins as well as the Mosher Family of Jay and Livermore Falls, and her fur family, Lulu, Spunky, Scooby and Scrappy. She was predeceased by her husband, her son, Frederick Addams and her daughter, Donna McDevitt. Funeral services will be held 10 AM on Tuesday, August 2nd at Emmanuel Assembly of God, 4 Fayette Road, Shuy Corner, Corner of Route 133 & 17, Livermore Falls, Maine. Arrangements by FINLEY FUNERAL HOME, 15 Church Street, Livermore Falls, Maine. Interment Fairview Cemetery, Route 2, Farmington, Maine.
