<p>BANGOR – Carleton L. Plummer, 91, husband of the late Eileen (McCann) Plummer, died July 23, 2016 at his home in Bangor, surrounded by family. He was born May 5, 1925 in Bangor, son of Elmer T. and Rose (Morrill) Plummer.</p><p><br></p><p>Carl was employed for many years as a Carman for the Maine Central Railroad. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran of WWII and a life member of the Old Town VFW, Post 3381. </p><p><br></p><p>Carleton is survived by seven children, Donald Plummer and his companion, Linda Perkins of Old Town, Carlene Stanislawczyk and her husband, Edward of Monroe Township, N.J., Thomas Plummer of Lauderdale Lakes, FL, William Plummer of Milford, Sherry Glencross of Orono, Kathie Lewis and her husband, Richard of Searsmont and Timothy Plummer and his wife, Randi of Poland; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; a brother; two sisters; nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by many brothers and sisters. </p><p><br></p><p>Relatives and friends are welcome to call 6 to 8pm Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at Brookings-Smith, 133 Center Street, Bangor where a funeral service will be held 10am Thursday, July 28, 2016 with Chaplain Carl Bergman officiating. Interment will be in Mount Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. Gifts in his memory may be made to United Cerebral Palsy for Camp Capella, 700 Mount Hope Avenue, Suite 320, Bangor, ME 04401.
