Albert E. Browning, age 92, lifelong resident of Winnsboro, LA (Franklin Parish), passed away, Tuesday, June 3, 2014 at Twin Lakes Nursing Home in San Augustine, Texas. Services will be 2 p.m., Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home Chapel , Winnsboro, LA, with burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery in Winnsboro, LA. Visitation will be Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Young’s Community Memorial Funeral Home from 5pm until 8pm. Mr. Browning was born October 6, 1921 in Franklin Parish, LA to parents, John William Browning & Bertha (Tyndell) Browning. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII as a military police, where he served in all five major campaigns. He is most known in Winnsboro, LA for his inventions, to which five of those he held the US patents for. He was a farmer and he raised cattle. He worked many years for the USDA where he was a cotton classer. He was a member of Temple Baptist Church, Winnsboro, LA. He is preceded in death by his parents, John William Browning & Bertha Tyndell Browning, his daughter, Ruby Jean Netherland, four brothers; R.J, John Henry, Lenoid, & James Browning and 3 Sisters; Annie Lee Melton, Betsy Dorton, and Katherine Reeves. He is survived by: Wife, Ruby (McCoy) Browning of San Augustine, TX (formerly of Winnsboro, LA) Daughter & Son-in-law: Patricia & Glenn Heintschel, Sr. of Shelbyville, TX 7 Grandchildren: David Hemphill & wife, Belinda of Shelbyville Danny Hemphill & wife, Connie of Winnsboro, LA Joe Hemphill & wife, Carla of Wisner, LA Sarah Stokes & husband, Denton of Vicksburg, Mississippi Ann Newsom & husband, Gene of Delhi, LA Dwayne Netherland & wife, Lonnie of Ruston, LA Terry Netherland of Winnsboro, LA 20 Great Grandchildren 6 Great Great Grandchildren 3 Sisters-in-law: Pearl Langston of Jackson, Mississippi Jewel Templeton of Monroe, LA Katherine Barber of Chase, LA Honorary Pallbearers will be Grandsons: David Hemphill, Danny Hemphill, Joe Hemphill, Dwayne Netherland & Terry Netherland
