Crowley- Funeral services for Arthur J. Romero, 54, will be held at 1:00PM on Monday March 31, 2014 at Duhon Funeral Home of Crowley with Rev. Jimmy Broussard officiating. Visitation will be held on Sunday March 30, 2014 beginning at 2:00PM and will continue until just prior to service time on Monday. A Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be held at 6:00PM on Sunday at the funeral home. Interment will follow services at Woodlawn Cemetery. Mr. Romero passed away on Thursday March 27, 2014 at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center in Lafayette, LA. Arthur retired from Varco/MD-TOTCO where he was a Senior Service Technician in October of 2000. He and his wife Brenda owned and operated Room to Grow Daycare, Preschool & Learning Center located in Crowley for the past 13 years. A loving husband, fantastic father and grandfather who loved hunting, fishing, camping , golf and spending time with his family and friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. He is survived by his loving wife of 33 years. Brenda Trahan Romero of Crowley, LA; children, Johnathon Romero of Crowley, LA, Crystal Lagasca and her husband Michael of Crowley, LA, Brandon Romero and his wife Danielle of Crowley, LA and Arthur Kyle Romero of Crowley, LA; grandchildren, Dylan , Madelene, Gabrielle, Lainey, Kaylen, Alexis ,Slade and Brayden Romero, Kelsey, Lana, Malakai and Caleb Lagasca; brothers, Armond Romero of Crowley, LA and Arnold Romero also of Crowley, LA; a very “special person to him”, Mrs. Loynice P. “Nanny” Trahan; ten brothers’-in-law and sisters’-in-law and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard J. Romero and Lorena Leger Romero; his godchild, Chad Blyne Trahan; brother-in-law, Melvin Welch; mother-in-law, Lillie Hollier and father-in-law, Angellas Trahan and his wife Olita Trahan. Pallbearers will be Johnathon Romero, Brandon Romero, Arthur Kyle Romero, Armond Romero, Michael Lagasca, Dylan Romero, Arnold Romero and Devin Hebert.
