DILLON, Owen Scott, 61, of Louisville, passed away and met his Maker on Thursday, July 21, 2016. Born in Louisville, Scotty was a Tool & Die Maker at General Electric. He loved the beach, cars, in fact anything with wheels and knew a little bit about everything. He was a passionate man who lived life to the fullest. Scotty was a hardcore UofL fan, and frequently called into local sports radio channels. He loved the Tour de France so much that he scheduled his July around it. On his trip to Europe, Scotty even fist bumped the Pope. He had a huge personality and handled all challenges thrown at him with strength and grace. He loved life, especially with his soulmate, Linnie. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Emily Dillon; and infant brother, Andrew Scott Dillon. Scotty is survived by his wife, Linda Dillon; daughter, Brigid Dillon; step-children, Rob Williams and Brittney Sweeney (Chris); siblings, James M. Dillon, Jr. (Teresa), Daniel M. Dillon, Emily D. Dyre (Mike), Mary D. Moon, and Kathryn D. Borg (Kevin); grandchildren whom he loved very much, Tanner and Evan Williams, and Landon, Annie, Luke, Chloe, Claire and Levi Sweeney; and numerous loving friends and family. His funeral service will be at 11 am Tuesday, July 26, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 2-8 pm Monday, with a prayer at 7:00pm followed by a time to share memories.
