Sullivan, Ruth E., 96, of Louisville, passed away Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Nazareth Home. Born in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the former Ruth LaCroix was a sales associate at Kaufmans, L.S. Ayres & Stewarts, and an original member of Ascension Catholic Church. She was secretary for St. Regis Park Counsel and a member of Queens Daughters and Meadow Heights Woman's Club. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mark D. Sullivan. Ruth is survived by her children, Denise Carroll (Bill Russell) and Brian Sullivan (Sue); grandchildren, Amy Zinner, Mark Carroll, Bradley Carroll, Amanda Stauffer, and Lauren Knipp (Brett); and great-grandchildren, Abbott, Jude, Ethan, Elijah, Peyton, and Hattie. The family would like to express their deepest gratitude to all staff at the Nazareth Home for their extraordinary care and kindness. Visitation will be from 9:30-11 am, with funeral Mass to follow at 11 am, on Tuesday, August 30, 2016 at Ascension Catholic Church, 4600 Lynnbrook Way. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Nazareth Home or Sisters of Charity of Nazareth.
