Ronald Boucher

Boucher, Ronald D., 75, of Louisville, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2016, with family by his side. Ronnie grew up in Clarksdale and Portland, attended St. John’s Parochial School and graduated from St. Xavier High School in 1959. He spent most of his professional career at General Electric in Louisville and Bloomington, IN, as manager of Computer Operations. He was preceded in death by his father, Royce Lee Boucher; mother, Ida Deutsch Mehlbauer; stepfather, Paul Mehlbauer; twin babies, David Lee and Deborah Lynn; and sister, Yvonne Johnston. Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 55 years, Mary Lynn Laas Boucher; daughters, Dana Boucher, Karen Boucher Burke (Albert) and Tanya Boucher Clan (James); brother, Alvin Leon Boucher (Priscilla); grandchildren, David Boucher (Yaixa), Erin Boucher, and Spencer, Taylor, Jilly, and Henry Clan; great-grandchildren, Roan and Norah Boucher; and many nieces, nephews, in-laws, friends, and neighbors. Ronnie shared his love of nature and passion for the outdoors with his family and friends. He had a kind and loving heart and always taught us to give back. He was a true gentleman, never met a stranger, and will forever be our Santa Claus. His funeral service will be at 10:00 am Monday, October 24, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Resthaven Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-7 pm Sunday at Highlands. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may be made to St. John Homeless Center for Men.
