Ronald Reigel

REIGEL, Ronald P., 69, passed away August 13, 2016 at Jewish Hospital, surrounded by his family, after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a Catholic by faith and served in the Army from 1969-1971. He retired from GE Telecommunications in 2009 after 24 years. Ron enjoyed life; especially family vacations at the beach. However, his greatest joy was spending time with his grandsons. He was preceded in death by his parents, Louis (Babe) and Myrtle Reigel; brothers, Louis, William, and James; and sisters, Shirley Jones and Barbara Ousler. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 44 years, Sandy (Tiebens); sons, Matthew (Gina) and Scott (Keir); and his grandsons, Jaxon and Jacob, who brought him so much happiness. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am, Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Road, with burial to follow in Calvary Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2-8 pm Tuesday at Highlands. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts can be made to Down Syndrome of Louisville, Angels in Disguise, or the charity of your choice.
