Richardson, Mary (Waters), 93, of Louisville, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Mary received a B.S. and M.A. from the University of Louisville. She was a retired teacher with the Jefferson County School System and taught at Seneca High, Fern Creek High, Thomas Jefferson High, and Shawnee High. She was a member of the Kentucky and Jefferson Co. Retired Teachers Assns., UofL Alumni Assn., and Southeast Christian Church. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Major Jesse T. Richardson Jr., a former PMS&T at Male High School and a retired U.S. Army WWll and Korean War veteran. She is also preceded by her parents, Hilda and Charles; brother, Harry and sister, Mildred. She is survived by her sons, Jesse T. Richardson III (Carole), and Michael Scott Richardson (Janie); daughter, Margaret (Peg) Richardson Plaut (Steve); grandchildren, Jessica Elaine Richardson Bean, Jesse Taylor Richardson IV, Steven Blake Plaut, Melissa Jane Richardson Bazzell and Micah Shane Richardson; nine great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. Her funeral service will be at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2016 at Highlands Funeral Home, 3331 Taylorsville Rd. Burial will be private. Visitation will be Saturday from 5:00 -7:00 p.m. and Sunday from 3:00 -5:00 p.m. at Highlands. Expressions of sympathy may be made to Kosair Children’s Hospital
