Wahl, Alice R. “Allie” (Voges), 89, died Sunday, August 28, 2016, surrounded by her family. She was born in Troy, IN, and graduated from St. Joseph Nursing School in Louisville, KY. Alice was preceded in death by her son, Michael (Judy); a sister; and two brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, Jerome Wahl; children, Jeanne Hettich (Don), Maria Phillips (Jay), Colette Wellendorf (Bill, deceased), and Martha Baumann (George) and Tim Wahl; eleven grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. The funeral will be held at the Church of Epiphany (914 Old Harrods Creek Rd, 40223) on Wednesday, August 31, at 11 am, with visitation at the Church from 9-11 am prior to the service. Private burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery. A special thanks to Eastern Star Home for the loving care they gave Alice these last several months, as well as the staffs at MD2U and Baptist East Hospital. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society (in memory of Mike) or the charity of your choice.
