Rachel Rowlette Baker

Rachel Rowlette Baker age 93, wife of the late Vester Baker, died Saturday July 9, 2016 at the Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Rachel was a member of the Galilee Baptist Church in Berea, she was retired from Westinghouse in Richmond. Rachel was an avid antique dealer and was an exceptional cook. She was born in Madison County to the late Roy and Ann Croucher Rowlette, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Vester Baker, one sister and several brothers, her granddaughter Teresa Libby and her son in law Garla Johnson.

Rachel is survived by her children Garrie (Sandra) Baker and Linda Johnson, her brothers Edmond (Linda) Rowlette, and Alonzo Rowlette and her sister Hester Ratliff, her grandchildren Brian (Jeannie) Johnson, Randy (Aurora) Baker, and Robyn (Danny) Wallum, her great grandchildren: Esther Baker, Josh Baker, Skye Baker, Elizabeth Baker, Danielle Wallum, Clay Johnson, Haley Johnson, Hannah Johnson, and Porter Libby, and 6 great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday July 12, 2016 at 2 pm at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Lee Abney officiating. Burial will be in the Berea Cemetery, pallbearers will be Brian Johnson, Clay Johnson, Gary Libby, Porter Libby, Randy Baker, and Danny Wallum.
