IN LOVING MEMORY Agnes Frances Balistreri Tarantino July 11, 1941 - November 19, 2018 Heaven received another angel on November 19, 2018 when Agnes Frances Balistreri Tarantino peacefully passed away. Aggie was born on July 11,1941 in Buffalo, New York and soon thereafter her family moved to San Diego where she has resided ever since. Aggie was the daughter of Frank & Mary (Guttadauro) Balistreri, originally of Aspra, Sicily. Aggie was the loving wife of the late Frank Tarantino Sr. and they were married on October 15, 1961 in San Diego, CA where they raised their Family. Aggie was an amazing wife and mother to her daughter, Lily (Tarantino) Romao; sons Jack Tarantino and Frank Tarantino Jr. She was also the best Nana to her grandchildren Annamarie and Romeo Romao Jr. (Lily & Romeo Sr.), Frankie, Trevor and Justin Tarantino (Frank Jr. & Jennifer). She was also a loving mother-in-law to Jennifer (Ferreira) Tarantino, wife of her son Frank and son-in-law, Michael Hauser husband of her son Jack. Aggie is preceded in death by son-in-law Romeo Romao Sr. (Lily) and her brother Tom Balistreri, and sister-in-law Marlene Balistreri and is survived by her brother Joe Balistreri and sister-in-law Rosemarie Balistreri. Aggie leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews, friends and extended family here in San Diego and Sicily. Including her two best friends Fran SanFilippo Tulloch and Janene Feliciano. Aggie’s infectious smile and her passion for storytelling of Family events, Sicilian cooking and baking have left a lasting imprint on our lives and those she touched. Aggie was a vital member of the Neiman Marcus family having worked there for over 30 years. Her devotion for the saints of the Catholic Church shined through her amazing, gracious soul for which we will always remember her by. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of The Rosary Church and was a member of the sodality’s Madonna Addolorata, Saint Joseph, and Santa Rosario. Her patron Saint was Padre Pio of Pietrelcina. Friends and family are welcome to attend the service on Monday, December 3, 2018 at 9AM at Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 1668 State St, San Diego, CA 92101.
