Crit Fleming

Crit Fleming, age 91, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016 at Hospice Compassionate Care Center in Richmond. Crit was born in Pike County to the late William and Mattie Wright Fleming. He is retired from the Cleveland Crane and Engineering Company and is a U.S. Army Veteran. He was a member of the Conway Missionary Baptist Church In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by two sons, Ernest Fleming, Robert May, one daughter Palma May, eight siblings John Fleming, Victor Fleming, Milton Fleming, Laura Johnson, Edith Coleman, Ruby Fleming, Opal Fleming and Estelle Fleming. He is survived by his loving wife Mae Potter Fleming; seven children, Gary (Lillie) Fleming, Donald (Becky Wendling) Fleming, Jeff (Michelle Lewis) Fleming, Essie Hood, Alma (Greg) Pyle, Karen (Marshall) Damrell and Janet Busenlehner; two brothers, Douglas (Linda) Fleming, Hershel (Joy) Fleming; one sister Hazel (The late Bill) Tackett, 35 grandchildren, 50 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday, August 23, 2016, 1 PM at Lakes Funeral Home with Bro. Bobby Turner officiating. Burial will follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery in Laurel County. Visitation will be Monday evening from 5-8 pm at Lakes Funeral Home.
