Theodore Joseph Nock, Sr. was born in Emmetsburg, Iowa, to Oliver T. and Madgell (Conway) Nock, on May 17, 1947 and passed away at his home in Armstrong on July 6, 2016 at the age of 69.

Ted received his education in Emmetsburg, graduating in 1966. He then served our country in the Navy from 1967 to 1969.

On November 27, 1970, he was united in marriage to Catherine Turck. The couple later divorced.

Ted was engaged in farming and also worked at GKN from 1970 - 2011.

Ted enjoyed his time in the Navy stationed in San Diego, where he became a lifelong San Diego Chargers Fan. He was also an Iowa State and NASCAR Fan. Ted enjoyed riding his Harley, hanging out with friends, and was always available to help family, friends and the V.F.W.

He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church in Emmetsburg.

Theodore is survived by his children, Bridget (Mike) Cronk of Fairmont, MN, Joe (Rina) Nock of Loveland, CO, Ted (Chelsie) Nock of Sioux Falls, SD, Brian Nock of Armstrong, IA; grandchildren, Zander Nock, Krystal and Lakyn Sathoff; great-grandchildren, Kenzi and Khloe; siblings, Larry Nock of Emmetsburg, IA, John (Linda) Nock of Rochester, MN, Linda (Bill) Jepsen of Boone, IA, Barb (John) Casebolt of Clive, IA, and Mary (Steve) Chu of Tempe, AZ.

His parents and brother, Mike, preceded him in death.
