Patricia S Waldschmidt

Patricia S. (Borer) Waldschmidt, the daughter of Clifford and Signa (Gramsted) Borer, was born May 23, 1928, in Callender, Iowa. She passed away Thursday, August 18, 2016, at Valley Vue Care Center in Armstrong, Iowa, at the age of 88.

She received her education in the Callender schools, graduating from Callender High School.

Pat was united in marriage to James Waldschmidt in 1947. She was employed at GKN in Armstrong in maintenance for over 20 years. In her leisure time she enjoyed playing cards, being in bridge clubs, singing, baking and cooking. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family.

She was an active member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Armstrong where she was in church choir, helping in decorating the church, she belonged to the Altar Society also. She was a lifetime member of Weiby-Johnson VFW Post Ladies Auxiliary in Armstrong.

Left to cherish Pat's memory are her children, Sharon Turano of Star Valley, Wyoming; Joyce Von Bank and her husband, Duyane of Armstrong; Kathy Rezac of Armstrong; Jack Waldschmidt and his wife, Ginger of Nevada, Iowa; Deb Brown and her husband, Al of Armstrong; Dennis Waldschmidt and his wife, Lori of Mason City, Iowa; 13 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and sisters-in-law, Luella Licktieg of Algona, Iowa and Ann Borer of Callender.

Pat has been preceded in death by her parents; James passed away in 2011; brother Dean Borer and sister, Nedra Borer.
