Marian Louise (Jarvis) Lundy, the daughter of Guilbert and Phyllis (Turnacliff) Jarvis, was born May 26, 1927, at St. Gabriel Hospital in Little Falls, Minnesota, the home of Charles Lindbergh. She passed away Sunday, June 26, 2016, at Good Samaritan Society in Estherville, Iowa, at the age of 89.

Marian received her early education in Little Falls schools. She graduated from Austin, Minnesota, High School. Following graduation, Marian attended Iowa State Teacher's College in Cedar Falls, Iowa, for four years where she received her degree in music education with a minor in English. Marian's first teaching position was in Armstrong, Iowa.

On June 29, 1952, Marian was united in marriage to Harvey Lundy. The couple made their home in Estherville where they began raising their family and Marian also taught elementary music in the Estherville Community School District for 26 years retiring in 1986. In addition Marian also gave private piano lessons. In her leisure time she enjoyed music, reading and gardening.

She was an active member of Estherville Lutheran Church where she was active in the church choir. She also belonged to various women's church circle groups. She was a member of the ISEA, NEA and the Retired Teacher's Association.

Left to cherish Marian's memory are her husband, Harvey of Estherville; her daughter, Susan E. Senn of Davenport, Iowa; son, John Lundy of Duluth, Minnesota; grandson, Brian Senn; sister, Jeanette Zellmer and her husband, Richard of of Davenport, Washington and sister-in-law, Mae Etta of Hugo, Minnesota.

Marian has been preceded in death by her parents and brother, Kenneth Jarvis.
