Gerald Jon "Rerun" Fay the son of Robert and Lorraine (Kunert) Fay was born November 22, 1954 in Estherville, Iowa. He died on Wednesday, August 24, 2016 at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 61.

He received his education in Gruver schools, graduating from Lincoln Central High School in 1973.

On August 22, 1981 he was united in marriage to Kristi Shepard. The couple made their home on the family farm east of Wallingford until 2010 when they moved into town. Rerun farmed with his dad and brother for many years.

He was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church. A valued member of the prestigious Wallingford Cruddies and the highly acclaimed Comb and Cellophane Band.

Left to cherish Rerun's memory are his wife, Kris of Wallingford; children, Tracy Fay (Dane Ross) of Estherville; Amy Fay (Andrew Skallerup) of Britt, Iowa; one granddaughter, Ryleigh; siblings, Judy Kramer and her husband, Larry of Clear Lake, Iowa; Ronald Fay and his wife, Mary of Wallingford, Iowa; Theresa Linn and her husband, Bob of Sioux City; Sherry Fay of Fairmont, Minnesota and Denise Leal and her husband, Pablo of Estherville and nieces and nephews.

He has been preceded in death by his parents.
