Darlene (Juhl) Paulson, the daughter of Lawrence and Martha (Wilhelms) Juhl, was born December 16, 1938, in Estherville, Iowa. She died on Friday, June 17, 2016, at Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville at the age of 77.

Darlene received her education in Estherville schools, graduating from Estherville High School. While in high school, she worked at the Woolworth Store. After high school, she was employed with Golden Sun for 13 years.

On September 7, 1968, she was united in marriage to Orland Paulson. The couple made their home in rural Graettinger until 1973, when Orland passed away. Darlene with her son, Greg, then moved to Estherville where they made their home. Darlene enjoyed baking, canning, gardening, playing solitaire and going to her grandchildren's activities.

She was a member of Wallingford Lutheran Church.

Left to cherish Darlene's memory is her son, Greg (Lesa) Paulson; grandchildren, Emily and Hanna; aunt; several cousins and friends.

She has been preceded in death by her parents, husband, and her mother and father-in-law.
