Arthur H. Eldredge
Mr. Arthur H. Eldredge, age 76, of Madison, passed away on Friday, July 29, 2016 at his residence. He was born on December 17, 1939 on Staten Island, New York, the son of Alden, Sr. and Margaret (Hunter) Eldredge. Mr. Eldredge graduated from high school in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and served for four years in the United States Army. He was a baker for privately owned bakeries in Florida and Alabama, and retired from the City of Fort Lauderdale street department. He moved to Madison in 1998 from Alabama. Survivors include one brother, Bill Eldredge of Madison; and three sisters: June Sutherland of Florida, Margie Febro and her husband Chuck, and Ada Eldredge, all of Tennessee. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, the former Betty Lou Buchanan, who died on January 26, 2015 and to whom he was married on July 19, 1999 in Madison; one sister, Alice Williams; and two brothers: Alden, Jr. and Allen Eldredge.
