Juanita L. (Hazelwood) Watson, 92, of Greenwood, IN, formerly of Cayuga, Indiana, passed away Sunday, June 7, 2015 at Greenwood Meadows in Greenwood, IN. She was born October 1, 1922 in Tangier, Indiana, to Elbert P. and Carrie (Sams) Hazelwood. She married Robert E. “Bob” Watson, he preceded her in death in June of 1974. She and her late husband owned and operated the Watson Funeral Home in Cayuga that was started in 1890 by the Watson Family. She also owned and operated Watson Beauty Salon in Cayuga. She was a member of Waterman Baptist Church in Lodi, Indiana and was past matron of the Cayuga Order of the Eastern Star #516. Survivors include her son-in-law Larry M. Thompson of Greenwood, IN; two grandsons, Justin D. Thompson of Terre Haute, IN., and Robert E. “Rob” Thompson of Fishers, IN; four great-grandchildren, Gracie Marie Thompson, Hunter Thompson, Grady Thompson, and Haley Thompson; a niece Patricia Corey of Illinois; and a nephew Roger Hazelwood of Dana, Indiana. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a daughter, Nancy J. (Watson) Thompson on June 10, 2004. Friends may call Saturday, June 13, 2015, from 12 Noon till 2PM at the Overpeck-Gooch Funeral Home, 225 North Maple Street, Dana, Indiana.
