Jesse Mendoza

Jesse Mendoza, 82, of Decatur, died August 3, 2016 at Bluffton Regional Medical Center in Bluffton, IN. Jesse was born on April 18, 1935 in San Luis Potosi, Mexico to the late Hipolito and Ana (Gutierrez) Mendoza. On March 11, 1966 he married Mary Mendoza. Jesse was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church. He worked as a machinist for E.J. Brachs Candy Co. Jesse is survived by his wife of 50 years, Mary Mendoza of Decatur; seven sons, Joe Mendoza of Decatur, Chris Mendoza of Texas, Daniel Mendoza of Berwyn, IL, Michael (Liz) Mendoza of Palatine, IL, Jesse (Bianca) Mendoza of Houston, TX, George (Griselda) Mendoza of Chicago, IL and Ricky (Marcy) Mendoza of Broadview, IL; three daughters, Nieves (Jose) Bernal of Decatur, Sandra (Manuel) Zuniga of Chicago, IL and Lupita (Sergio) Mendoza; a sister, Maria Ibarra of California; 30 grandchildren, 33 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceding Jesse in death was a son, Eddie Mendoza and 5 brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 5, 2016 at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church with visitation prior from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in the St. Mary’s Parish Hall. Father Bob Lengerich will be officiating. Memorials are to the Family.
