Anita L. Hirschy, 55, of Decatur, Indiana; died peacefully at her home, on July 31, 2016. She was born on December 21, 1960 to the late Francis J. and Nonna C. (Kline) Geels. On March 10, 1984, she married Timothy R. Hirschy. She was a member of the Cornerstone Community Church and worked for the North Adams Community Schools in Childcare and later became a Teacher’s Aid. Anita is survived by her husband Timothy of 32 years; 2 sons, Jeff R. (fiancé Laura Hitchcock) of Pelham, AL; Eric T. Hirschy of Decatur, IN; and 1 daughter, Lynette A. Hirschy of Decatur, IN. 9 brothers, Ralph (Vicky) Geels, Kenny (Lynn) Geels, Francis Jr. (Tina) Geels, Larry (Terri) Geels all of Decatur, IN, Leo Geels of Ceylon, IN, David (Lori) Geels, Edward Geels, Jerry (Kristy) Geels all of Decatur, IN and Ronnie (Tiffany) Geels of Fort Wayne, IN; 7 sisters, Jean (Pete) Swenski, Marilyn Agler both of Decatur, IN, Ellen (Steve) Musser of Berne, IN, Linda Geels, Alice (Chris) Kernstein, Joyce (Bill) Seip, all of Decatur, IN and Janice (Peter) Van den Boom of The Netherlands. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 3, 2016, from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Haggard-Sefton & Hirschy Funeral Home. A Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 4, 2016 at the Cornerstone Community Church with visitation from 9:00-10:00 a.m. prior to the service. Rev. Kenneth Hogg will be officiating. Burial will take place at the Mt. Tabor Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Cornerstone Community Church (Celebration Station).
