Wanda Karl

Wanda L. Bush Karl, 97, of Murphysboro, passed away at 12:40 a.m. Tuesday, July 26, 2016, at her daughter's residence in Alton, Illinois. Wanda was born on December 26, 1918, in Murphysboro, Illinois, to Herbert Dunham and Nancy (Cripps) Dunham Coleman. She had worked as a cook as the Logan House. Mrs. Karl was a member of the First Assembly of God in Murphysboro. Wanda first married Gilbert Bush and with that union they had three children. Later, she married Hubert Karl on August 26, 1966, in Seattle, Washington, and he preceded her in death on December 4, 1989. Survivors include two daughters and their husbands Rose Mary and Jim Wuest of Murphysboro and Nancy and Harry Giffin of Alton; eight grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son Carl Bush, one brother, two sisters, and her parents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, July 30, 2016, at Pettett Funeral Home with Rev.
