Robert "Bobby" Richard Schuur, Jr., 53, of Murphysboro, passed away at 4:40 p.m. Friday, October 14, 2016, at his residence in Murphysboro. Robert was born on March 24, 1963, in Denver, Colorado, to Robert R. Schuur, Sr. and Nina Mae (Bachman) Schuur. He had worked as a laborer. Bobby liked to go fishing and camping. He like to watch races and shoot pool, but he especially like to be with his children. He was married to Terry Bonnell and through that union, they had two children, who survive: Christian Schuur and Deborah Schuur, both of Murphysboro; and he had another son named Josh. Also surviving are his father Robert R. Schuur, Sr. of Denver, CO; three sisters Deborah Davis of Denver, CO, Linda Borago of Loveland, CO, and Nina Carpenter of Denver, CO; one brother John Selogy of Tacoma, WA; and one sister in law Deborah (Launius) Gallegos of Murphysboro. He was preceded in death by his mother, two brothers Sonny and Randy Schuur, and one niece Jeannie Schuur. His body will be cremated. There will be a memorial service held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 21, 2016, at Pettett Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
