Marilyn Joan Berger, 82, passed away at 8:20 p.m. Saturday, July 16, 2016, at the Union County Hospital in Anna. Marilyn was born on July 24, 1933, in Murphysboro, to Jake Berger and Thelma (Bullar) Berger. She was Presbyterian by faith. Marilyn is survived by one brother and sister in law C. C. and Edna Berger of Mercer Island, WA; one sister in law Augusta Ruth Layne of Murphysboro; two nephews Jerald Berger and his wife Linda Berger of Seattle, WA, and Bruce David Berger, Jr. of Spokane, WA; and two cousins Naomi Potter of Murphysboro and Shirley Baughman of FL. She was preceded in death by two brothers Jimmy Berger and Bruce Berger, and her parents. Gravesite services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 20, 2016, at Pleasant Grove Memorial Park and Rev.
