Robert Kenneth Hicks, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Wednesday July 20, 2016 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness. Mr. Hicks was born February 5, 1952 to the late Robert C. and Vina Hicks. He worked in the residential construction field. He was also preceded in death by brothers, Rual Ingram, Roy Ingram, Danny Hicks, Gary “Durock” Hicks; and sisters, Estelle Jett, Kathy Robbins, and Robin Hicks. Surviving are his wife, Shirley Hicks, Dawsonville; children, Dena Turner, Warner Robbins, Lee and Heather Hicks, Winder, Michelle and Ben Childers, Canton; 12 grandchildren, sisters and brothers in law, Bonnie Gentry Dawsonville, Barbara and Charles Brown, Dahlonega, Gladys Bruce, Dawsonville, Caroline Fauscett, Dawsonville, Patty and Bill McDaniel, Dawsonville, Betty Sue Hicks, Elberton; brothers and sister in law, Ricky and Diane Hicks, Dahlonega, Jimmy Hicks, Dawsonville; and a number of other relatives.
