Dimple Fricks

Dimple Fricks, 87, of Dahlonega passed away Thursday October 13, 2016 at her residence following a period of declining health. Born June 24, 1929 to the late Grover and Carrie Jones, she had been a resident of Lumpkin County for most of her life. A devoted and loving mother and grandmother, she was a wonderful cook who enjoyed taking care of her family any way that she could. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ben Fricks; daughter, Janice Rider; brothers, Bill Jones, Tom Jones; sister, Lois Wehunt. Surviving are her sons and daughters in law, Carlton Fricks, Dahlonega, Wayne Fricks, Dahlonega, Kenneth and Marsha Fricks, Dawsonville, Jerrell and Melba Fricks, Dahlonega, Billy and Becky Fricks, Dahlonega; daughters and son in law, Delorice Powell, Dahlonega, Gale Harris, Dawsonville, Donna Fricks, Dahlonega, Sandy and Robert West, Dahlonega; brothers, Frank Jones, Walter Jones; sisters, Mildred Crane, Ruby Norrell; 18 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives. Funeral services will be held Sunday October 16, 2016 at 2 o’clock at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Chris Butler will officiate. Interment will follow in Nimblewill Baptist Church Cemetery.
