Mildred Marie Kinsey Trotter

Mildred Marie Kinsey Trotter, age 96 of Clarkesville, passed away Monday, August 29, 2016. Born in Habersham County on March 9, 1920, she was a daughter of the late Charles Lacey and Ethel Mae Stroud Kinsey. Mrs. Trotter was retired from Habersham Mills with 20 plus years of service in the spinning department. She was a member of Victory Baptist Church and enjoyed the outdoors and gardening. Mrs. Trotter was an affectionate person who always greeted her family and friends with a hug. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert Lee Trotter, Sr.; son, Robert Lee Trotter, Jr.; brother, Thomas B. Kinsey; sister, Mary Swing. Surviving are daughter and son-in-law, Lynn & Frankie Walters of Clarkesville; daughter-in-law, Phyllis Trotter Giaquinta of Clarkesville; sister, Blanch Corbin of Spartanburg, SC; grandchildren, Kristi Trotter, Haley and husband, Rob Hill, and Brett Walters; five great grandchildren. Funeral services are 4:00 pm Wednesday, August 31, 2016, at the Chapel of McGahee-Griffin & Stewart with Rev. Austin Kelley and Rev. Grady Walden officiating. Interment will follow in Victory Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:30 until the funeral hour on Wednesday.
