Mary Frances Knight, 80 of Cornelia, passed away Monday, May 23, 2016. Born in Banks County on May 06, 1936, she was a daughter of the late Howard and Hattie Chitwood Martin. Mrs. Knight was a retired school bus driver for Habersham County Schools and attended Mud Creek Baptist Church. She loved working in her flower gardens and playing bingo. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William Artis Knight; daughters, Kay Hubbard and Laverne Nation Taylor; brothers, James Clifford Martin, Curtis Martin, and Charles Martin; sisters, Sadie Marie Fowler and Susie Belle Norton. Surviving are her son, William Howard Knight of Cornelia; daughters, Deborah Jones and Joyce “BoBo” Crocker of Cornelia, and Misty Dawn Knight of Clarkesville; brothers, Jack Martin and Lewis Herman Martin of Cornelia, and Robert Hubert Martin of Gainesville. Funeral services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Thursday, May 26, 2016 in the Chapel of McGahee Griffin and Stewart Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Level Grove Cemetery.
