Mr. Thomas Brown Luckey, Jr., 61, of Camilla, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016 at Phoebe Putney Memorial Hospital in Albany. A memorial service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 18, 2016 at Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Camilla. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. Born April 12, 1955 in Camilla, Thomas was the son of the late, Thomas Brown Luckey, Sr. and Myrtice Pearl West Luckey. He worked for many years as a painter and enjoyed working on cars and watching NASCAR. More than anything he enjoyed being with his family. He was of the Baptist faith. In addition to his parents, Mr. Luckey was preceded in death by his wife, Hazel Phillips Luckey; daughter, Marie Herrin and several siblings. Survivors include his sons, Thomas Herrin of Georgetown, Jason (Carol) Luckey of Albany, Billy (Janie) Herrin of Leesburg and Bobby Phillips of Alabama; sisters, Janice (James) Hall of Camilla, Shirley Miller of Sylvester and Sandra Paff of Michigan; brothers, Jerry Luckey and Danny Luckey both of Camilla; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.
