Terrell Mock

Mr. Terrell Mock, 74, of Albany, went home to with Jesus on May 26, 2016 from his earthly home. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, May 28, 2016 in the chapel of Hall and Hall Funeral Home. Pastor Dan Story, Jr., Rev. Robin Chaplin and Rev. Joseph W. Jones will officiate with interment to follow at 3:00 p.m. at New Home Freewill Baptist Cemetery in Colquitt. Born November 3, 1941 in Miller County, Mr. Mock was the son of the late Sam and Flora Mae Whitaker Mock. He retired from Merck Chemical and until his health declined worked with Hall and Hall Funeral Home. He was a member and Deacon of Bethel Baptist Church and former member and Deacon of Sunnyside Baptist Church. He was known has a hard working man who loved God and his family more than anything. He enjoyed fishing, growing a garden and working in his yard. Mr. Mock will be remembered as a giving and selfless man who would do anything he could to help others. In addition to his parents, Mr. Mock was preceded in death by his brother, Seth Arnold Mock. Survivors include his loving wife of 56 years, LaVerne Ard Mock; four children, Cynthia Wingate (Bryan) Albany, GA., Bruce Mock (Bobbie) of Chattanooga, TN; Michael Mock of Chicago, IL and Christopher Mock (Meri) of Marianna, FL; grandchildren, Monica Parks (Donnie) of Spartanburg, SC, Matthew Wingate (Jennifer) of Opelika, AL, Amanda Wingate of Alpharetta, GA, Kaitlyn Mock of Mississippi, Dalton Mock of Marianna, FL, Haleigh Hicks and Jacob Hicks both of Chattanooga, TN; great-grandchild, Nathaniel Parks; brother: Dr. William Lindsey Mock (Betty) of Columbus, GA; sister-in-law: Bobbie Mock of Colquitt, GA; niece, Lynn Ard Thompson (Todd); nephews, Tony Mock (Donna), Tim Mock (Patti), Troy Mock (Pam) Jeffrey Ard (Karen) and David Ard. Flowers will be accepted, but for those desiring, you may make memorial contributions to The Gideon’s International, Albany East Camp, Post Office 1265 Albany, GA. 31702 or to Emory Winship Cancer Institute, Attn: Clinical Trials 1365 Clifton Road, NE, Atlanta, GA. 30322.
