William McNair Vinson, 52, of Palatka, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2016 at Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center. He was a lifelong resident of Putnam County. William had worked as a welder on tanks (Georgia Pacific) and in the ship building industry. More recently he worked as a tree surgeon alongside David and James Wilkes. William enjoyed spending time outdoors. He is survived by, brother, Richard Vinson (Sarah) of St. Augustine, sister, Georganne Elkins (Bill) of Palatka, nieces, Ashley Clark, Heidi Bellamy, Kayla Sellers, Kaylie Vinson and Kiya Vinson, nephew, Wesley Bailey, one great-niece, two great-nephews as well as his companion, Dorinda Blackburn. No services have been scheduled at this time. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be sent in William’s memory to Haven Hospice Roberts Care Center, 6400 St. Johns Ave, Palatka, FL 32177.
