Rosa Lee “Bobbie” Nicholson, 81 entered into eternal peace on Friday June 17, 2016. Bobbie was born in Camp Hill, AL the daughter of the late George and Cora Ellis. She was a long time resident of Palatka where she enjoyed her job as a hairdresser for more than 50 years. Bobbie was a member of College Rd Church of Christ. She loved to sew, crotchet, garden, and cook for her friends, family and customers. She brightened peoples’ day with her thoughtfulness and great sense of humor. And Man did people love her fruit cakes! Bobbie is preceded in death by her parents, George and Cora; two sisters Claire Mae Nelms and Janie Nicholson and a son Jimmie Donald “Nick” Nicholson, Jr. She leaves her loving memories to be cherished by a sister Cookie Meadows and a brother George (Vera) Ellis both of Denham Springs, LA; son Ken (Rebecca) Nicholson; granddaughters Heather (Ben) Wallace; and Holly (Michael) Owen; grandson Jimmy Donald “Trey” Nicholson III; great-grandchildren Kenzie Nicholson and Christopher Owen. Services will be held on Tuesday June 21, 2016 at 11:00 am at Johnson-Overturf Chapel in Palatka with Bro. C.L. Overturf, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill West Cemetery in Palatka. The Family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 am until the time of services at 11:00.
