Idella Elizabeth Chase King, 85, of Palatka, passed away on Friday, June 24, 2016 at Putnam Community Medical Center following an extended illness. She was a native and lifelong resident of Palatka. Idella was an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Palatka. She enjoyed crocheting, senior swimming at the ARC and camping. Idella especially enjoyed bird watching and feeding squirrels. She is survived by her children, James Stevens King of Interlachen, Margie Alexander and Katherin “Kathy” Smith both of Palatka, grandchildren, Craig and Toby Alexander, James and Andrea King, Christine Cason, Jeremie and Maranda Smith, great-grandchildren, Blake, McKinzy and Myah Alexander, Braxdon, Seth and Alexander Cason, Alexis and Curtis Smith, Brooklyn and Madison King. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at Palatka Memorial Gardens with Bishop Michael Curtis presiding. No visitation has been scheduled.
