Evans Leo McCann

Evans Leo McCann, 63, of Palatka, passed from this life unexpectedly at his home on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from natural causes. Born and raised in Jacksonville, he resided in Palatka for the past 3 years coming from Clay County where he had resided for 30 years. Evans owned and operated a Snap-On Tools business for 32 years. Following his retirement, he drove a bus for the Clay County Council on Aging. In his leisure time, Evans enjoyed golfing, fishing and gardening. Evans is survived by his wife of 34 years, Lynn McCann of Palatka, a daughter, Jenny Russell and husband David and their daughter, Avery Russell and his 2 brothers, Steven James McCann and wife Norma of Jacksonville and Donald McCann and wife Mary Helen of Marietta, GA. In an informal gathering, the family will receive friends from 3-5 P.M. on Friday, October 14, 2016 at Johnson-Overturf Funeral Home, 307 S. Palm Avenue in Palatka.
