Albert Samuel Jacobs, 44, of San Mateo, passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 29, 2016 at his home from natural causes. Born in Jacksonville, he attended schools in Duval County and at Beasley Middle School in Palatka where he moved to in 1984. Albert worked for 15 years as a pipe foreman in the construction industry with R.B. Baker, Inc. (Savannah, GA). In his spare time, Albert enjoyed fishing and golfing. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Jacobs and Helen Jacobs. Albert is survived by his wife of 20 years, Nancy C. Jacobs, a son, Austin Jacobs and a daughter, Kelly Jacobs, all of San Mateo, 2 brothers, James Jacobs (Angela) of Satsuma and Jimmy Jacobs (Jenny) of Council Bluffs, IA, 2 sisters-in-law, Cindy Reed of San Mateo and Kimberly Thomas (Michael) of Kingsland, GA and numerous nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be at 1:00 P.M. Tuesday, October 4, 2016 at Oak Hill West Cemetery with Pastor Terry Wright officiating. No visitation is scheduled.
