Geri Kell Obituary

Geri Lynn Kell, age 52, of Milton, Florida, went to her eternal home on Friday, July 8, 2016, after a courageous battle for life and love. Her great life passion was her two daughters and six grandchildren. Her life centered around her family, and she always enjoyed shopping. Geri worked at Physicians Billing & Consulting for eight years, after working for many years in the banking business, and she loved her co-workers. She had an infectious laugh that was enhanced by her slow, southern drawl. She often called people by their nicknames, especially “George.” Geri was a 1981 graduate of Milton High School and a member of the Marching Panther Band. She loved going to her grandchildren’s activities, supported everything her husband was involved in, and was all of their biggest cheerleader. She was a member at New Life Baptist Church where her husband Roger is the Worship Leader. Although she never got in a hurry to do anything, her slow, methodical manner became a consistent and treasured part of her heritage. Her co-workers and close friends knew of her witty and hilarious sense of humor. Although to many people she appeared quiet and introverted, she was deeply respected and loved by everyone who met her. She was a great friend, an incredible grandmother, a faithful helpmate to her husband, and a mother who loved unconditionally. Geri is survived by her husband of 34 years, Roger Kell; her daughters, Heidi (Robert) Palmer, and Staci (Jamie) McDuffi; and six grandchildren. Geri was the daughter of Sam and Amelia Pierce and has one sister, Cindy (Roger) Brewton, along with a larger extended family. A visitation will be held Tuesday evening, July 12, 2016, from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m., at New Life Baptist Church (6380 Bayberry Street in Milton), and a service to Celebrate Geri’s Life will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2016, at 11:00 a.m., with burial to follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery in Beulah, Florida. The Kell family wants to express their sincere, humble gratitude to the thousands of people who have supported our family during this journey, and pray we have been able to live our faith in a visible, authentic way for many people to see. If you do not possess an inner peace that passes all human understanding, we would love to share with you the hope that is within us.
