Barbara Ann Lowitz, 73, of Lillian, Alabama, passed away Wednesday, August 17, 2016. Barbara had lived in Pace, Florida, for the last several years with her son, Michael, and daughter-in-law, Donna, until she needed assistance from Pruitt Healthcare Nursing Home in Milton, Florida. Prior to her illness, she enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, Summer Lowitz and Mycah Lowitz. Barbara was preceded in death by her mother and father, JW Turner and Florence Turner; her son, Greg Lowitz; and her brother, Junior Turner. She is survived by her husband, Richard Lowitz; son, Michael (Donna) Lowitz; granddaughters, Summer and Mycah Lowitz; sisters, Peggy Wilkerson, Pat (Terry) Boffman, and Carla (Tommy) Todd; and a host of nieces and nephews. A Memorial Mass will be held at Saint Joseph Catholic Church (34290 US Hwy 98, Lillian, Alabama) on Saturday, August 27, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. Lewis Funeral Home, Milton, has been entrusted with local arrangements. The family would like to thank Covenant Hospice and Pruitt Healthcare Nursing Home for the love and care they showed her and us during her stay with them.
