Susanne M. Nunes Devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Susanne Maude Nunes, 96 years old, a long time resident of Satellite Beach, Florida died July 25, 2016 at her home. She was born the only child of Harry and Margaret Marvin January 22, 1920 in Hendersonville South Carolina. She attended Lander College and earned a degree in Business Education in 1941. She married Ben Nunes December 20, 1943 in Yemassee, South Carolina. The early years of her marriage were spent raising three boys while living at various Air Force bases they were stationed at in Europe and the United States including Germany, France, Colorado, and Florida. Their retirement years were spent traveling, and attending social functions with their numerous friends and family. Mrs. Nunes enjoyed being a member of the Patrick Air Force Base Garden Club, scrap-booking, stamping, and decorating. She was the ultimate hostess and enjoyed having friends over for tea, lunch, or dinner. She is survived by her grandchildren: Christopher Scott Nunes (Jennete Lopez Nunes) and Kimberly Nunes-Bufford (Calvin Westley Bufford). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Joshua Nunes, Jonathan Nunes, Mathew Nunes, Ethan Nunes, and Gavin Bufford. She is also survived by her cousins Jeanine Marvin Price and John (Beulah Marvin) Marvin. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Nunes and three sons: Frank Nunes, Joseph Nunes, and Mark Nunes. The Celebration of Life will be at her home, Sunday, July 31, 2016 (1-3 PM).
