Ann Bolton Obituary

Ann Oxner Bolton, 81, from Satellite Beach, Florida passed away on July 8, 2016 after a year-long battle with ovarian cancer. Ann was born August 7, 1934 in Augusta, Ga. She married her husband of 61 years on August 6, 1955 whom she met at her alma mater, the University of South Carolina. After earning her BS in Sociology and then a Master’s in Elementary Education she went on to become an elementary school teacher. She retired after 20 years of teaching from Sabal Elementary in Melbourne. Ann was a very active and integral member of Unity of Melbourne, a group that provided unwavering support during her illness. Ann’s greatest strength lay in her ability to help others to embrace their own light of being, to build their gifts and optimize their potential. She was an awesome cheerleader for those she loved and befriended. She is preceded in death by her parents William and Elma Oxner of Augusta, GA. She is survived by her husband, James Lindsay Bolton and four children, Laurie Bolton Davey (Mark) of Satellite Beach, FL, James Bradley Bolton (Betsey) of Dover, NH, Kristin Bolton Urquhart (Jim) of Orlando, FL and Jennifer Bolton Vaccaro of Orlando, FL . She was the proud grandmother of six grandchildren: Nicholas Ryan Davey, Zachary Luke Davey, Kyle Andrew Urquhart, Chloe Ann Bolton, Ryan Morgan Urquhart, and Alexis Ann Vaccaro. She is also survived by her brother William (Mozelle) Oxner of Martinez, GA and nieces Kimberly Oxner McDowell and Michelle Oxner Chastain. A celebration of life will be led by Rev Beth Head on July 23, 2016 at Unity of Melbourne, 2410 North Harbor City Blvd in Melbourne at 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Unity of Melbourne. Special thanks to Unity Friends, and all of the medical staff that supported her during her last year of life. Ann was the heart of her family and will be dearly missed.
