Lizzie Flowers, age 62, of Bristol passed away in Bristol Tuesday, June 7, 2016. Lizzie was born May 23, 1954 to the late Walter and Bernice (Sapp) Pitts. She was a homemaker and also worked in medical records for Florida Department of Corrections. She was a member of Lake Mystic Baptist Church in Bristol. In addition to her parents Walter and Bernice Pitts, Lizzie was preceded in death by three brothers, Aubrey “Jake” Pitts, Jerry Pitts, and John Rue. Survivors include her husband, George of Bristol; a son, Johnny Barfoot of Sneads, a daughter, Candice Earnest and her husband, Chris of Hosford; a special granddaughter Caitlyn Earnest and grandson, Landon Earnest and his wife, Summer; three sisters, Florice Kever, Myrtle Ann French, and Mary Nell Swearington, all of Blountstown. The family will receive friends 6:00-8:00 p.m. ET, Friday, June 10 at Adams Funeral Home in Blountstown. Services will be 11:00 a.m. ET, Saturday, June 11 at Lake Mystic Baptist Church with Reverend Jerry Chumley officiating. Interment will follow in Life More Abundant Cemetery in Bristol.
