Kenneth Lee Melvin, age 58, of Blountstown passed away Saturday, June 11, 2016. Born in Marianna, December 4, 1957, Ken was the son of Willie P. and Margaret G. (Godwin) Melvin. He was a registered nurse at Calhoun Correctional Institute and he was a member of First Baptist where he was very active as a former deacon, Sunday school teacher, and Children’s Ministry. Ken was preceded in death by his mother, Margaret Melvin. Survivors include his wife, Dana (Wood) Melvin; two daughters, Marisa Lee Melvin and Callie Michele Melvin, all of Blountstown; his father, Willie P. Melvin; two brothers, Chris Melvin of Dothan, Alabama and Kevin Melvin of Marianna; and two sisters, Kathy Nichols of Nebraska and Margie Melvin of California. The family will receive friends 9:00-10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 15 at Blountstown First Baptist Church. Services will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the church with Dr. Robin Jumper officiating. Interment will be in Pine Memorial Cemetery near Blountstown. Adams Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Phone is 674-5449 and you may offer the family condolences online at adamsfh.com.
