John Pitts

Reverend John Henry Pitts, age 71, of Blountstown passed away Sunday, June 5, 2016. Born in Wewahitchka, November 12, 1944, John was the son of the late Lumon and Mamie Iola (Graham) Pitts. He lived in Blountstown most of his life and was a heavy equipment operator for the Department of Transportation. He was of the holiness faith. Survivors include his wife, Connie Delores (Pippin) Pitts; two daughters, Shelia Haney and her husband, Willard and Tonya Hatcher all of Blountstown; four grandchildren, Joseph David Strong, Robert Emmanuel Lee Strong, Jordan B. Hatcher and Jayce Hatcher; a brother, James Harmon Pitts of Bristol; and four sisters, Gladys Mills of Geneva, Alabama, Mavis Wellman of Georgia, Betty Ann McDaniel of Blountstown, and Mary Sconyers of Geneva, Alabama. The family will receive friends 9:00-10:00 a.m., Monday, June 6 in the Chapel of Adams Funeral Home and the funeral will follow at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel with Reverend Francis Carlisle officiating.
