Mrs. Jewel D. Adams Garrett Ray age 87 of DeFuniak Springs, Florida passed away Friday, September 16, 2016 at Healthmart Regional Medical Center with her loving family by her side. She was born May 14, 1929 in Alabama to John and Zonie Hall Adams. Mrs. Ray was Baptist by faith and a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Mrs. Ray was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband and father of her children Clarence B. Garrett, her son Eddie Garrett, her second husband Woodrow Ray, her son-in-law Earl Campbell, her son Don Ray and daughter-in-law Linda Ray, her siblings Ruby Taylor, Nell Holloway, Bill Adams, and Tom Adams. Mrs. Ray is survived by her daughter Joanne Campbell, her daughter-in-law Cathy Garrett, her son Dan Ray and wife Mary Graham, her grandchildren, Scott Campbell and wife Jackie, Chastity McLaney and husband Roger, Kevin Campbell and wife Kim, Clarence Garrett and wife Brenda, Kaitlin Forsyth and husband Mike, Cheryl Hall and husband Mark, and Logan Garrett. She is survived by her great-grand- children Jacob and Brooke Campbell, Krislynn McLaney, Blakely and Kaylee Campbell, Laney and James Michael Garrett, Jullia, Cryris, and Levi Garrett, JR Mcraney, and Haley and Cooper Forsyth. Her siblings Obie Adams, John and Betty Adams, Ralph and Loretta Adams, and sister-in-law Linda Adams and numerous nieces and nephews. A time of visitation will be held from 6:00-8:00 p.m., Monday, September 19, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church 2415 Co. Hwy 1883; DeFuniak Springs, Florida. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, September 20, 2016 at Friendship Baptist Church with Reverends Johnmark Brown and Danny Adams officiating. Burial will follow in the Friendship Baptist Church Cemetery. Floral arrangements are being accepted or donations can be made to the Friendship Baptist Church Youth Fund.
