Geneva Pitts, age 72, of Blountstown passed away Wednesday, June 29, 2016 in Panama City. Geneva was born December 13, 1943 in Marianna to Willie and Effie (Jeter) Pitts. She lived most of her life in Blountstown and was cashier at Southern Express for many years. Her favorite pastime was fishing in Apalachicola River and arts and crafts. Geneva was preceded in death by her parents; five great-grandchildren; three brothers, Bubba, William and Tommy Pitts; and five sisters, Rebecca, Mary Ann, Dorothy, Teresa, and Diane. Geneva is survived by three sons, Randall Pitts of Blountstown, James Allen Peters and his wife, Dreama of Altha, and Sylvester Peters, Jr. of Blountstown; a daughter, Sheila Ann (Peters) McFarland and her husband, Gerald of Clarksville; sixteen grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Marion Pitts and his wife, Bonnie of Altha; and three sisters, Shirley White and Carolyn Gomillion, both of Blountstown, and Jenell Lemaster of Guntersville, Alabama. The family will receive friends 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Saturday, July 2 at Adams Funeral Home and the funeral will follow at 1:00. Interment will be in Dykes Cemetery in Grand Ridge.
